Our Vision

A world where everyone feels safe, respected, and equal in their relationships.

Our Mission

To empower survivors of sexual & domestic violence as they reclaim their strengths and rights through education, advocacy, and support, as they integrate into the community.

Providing Community Support For Sexual & Domestic Violence Survivors

CPLC De Colores opened its doors in 1985 out of community-identified need for a domestic violence shelter that would provide an environment that was culturally and linguistically appropriate for monolingual Spanish speaking survivors and their children. The shelter, located in South Central Phoenix, provides an average of 500-600 clients a safe and secure environment where they can recover from the devastating effects of abuse as they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of violence. In addition to the shelter, De Colores provides community-based and follow up services to survivors and their children through its offices at CPLC Maryvale Community Center.

By expanding its scope of services, De Colores includes all survivors of sexual and domestic violence and it now advocating and organizing against sexual violence, of all kinds, in our community. Through the work done by the shelter and community-based programs, the mission of De Colores is to empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence as they reclaim their strengths and rights through education, advocacy, and support as they integrate into the community.
